What can you tell me about GMC vehicles? |

Answer:
GMC, of course, stands for General Motors Corporation. The GMC line of vehicles includes SUV’s, trucks (pickups to big rigs) and vans, but does not include any sedans, coupes or wagons. GMC vehicles cater mostly to commercial markets, although many individuals choose their sturdily built pickups, vans and SUV’s for versatility of family as well as utility uses. The GMC name is sometimes associated with fire trucks, buses and other heavy duty truck-vehicles, and those markets were once the primary focus for the brand. GMC began from a company called “Rapid Motor Vehicle Company” which is credited for some of the earliest commercial truck concepts and designs. Eight years later, General Motors bought the company and created the General Motors Truck Company, which eventually got shortened to GMC Truck, and now it is pretty well known simply as “GMC”. Today, the GMC vehicle line no longer includes buses or fire trucks, and today’s GMC vehicles are very often nearly identical to some of the Chevrolet vehicles, since the two brands share many components and even styling. The GMC brand still caters to the professional, independent contractor folks, and typically cost more than the Chevy “twin”. The GMC brand also may offer options not available on the Chevy line. GMC vehicles carry a very solid reputation for quality and strength. Indeed, their current slogan is “We are professional grade”. Now…does that sound solid, or what!? Trackback(0)
