What can you tell me about Jeep vehicles? |

Answer:
Jeep vehicles have been around for quite some The original military Jeep vehicles were built by American Bantam, a company in Pennsylvania. Later, Ford Motor Company and Willys-Overland got into the act, and ultimately both companies provided vehicles based on the Willys designs, since the government thought Willys-Overland might not have enough resources to fill all the military orders. Jeep vehicle manufacture passed through a few other hands as well, including Kaiser Motors, then American Motors Corp., before ending up with Daimler/Chrysler and Chrysler Holding LLC. Through its evolution from military General Purpose vehicle to its current position as one of the mainstay SUV type vehicles on the road today, the Jeep vehicle has undergone numerous transformations. Indeed, the original Jeep vehicles were built purely for functionality. Comfort, ride, and even passenger safety were somewhat secondary. Today's Jeep vehicles, on the other hand, are built for passenger safety, ride, comfort AND functionalilty, though today's Jeep vehicles rarely see the conditions their ancestors saw! Today's Jeep vehicles run the gamut from the fun-sized Liberty to the luxurious Grand Cherokee; and Jeep vehicles still command the respect they always have. After all..."it's a Jeep"!
