In California, a DUI conviction or any two-point traffic conviction will remain on a driver's record for ten years (55 years for CDL holders), according to available sources.

The California DMV website indicates that accidents remain on a driver's record for three years (except CDL, which is ten years). Most other (less than two-point) violations remain for three years as well.
