How long does an Accident, DUI or Ticket stay on my driving record in Kentucky?

Answer:
If you live in Kentucky, you might want to know a few
things about your Kentucky driving record, and how traffic violations might impact that.

Like most states in the United States, Kentucky has strict laws regarding driving under the influence (DUI).  Drivers convicted of DUI or DWI face serious financial and social consequences, including loss of license, and jail time.

Visit the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, Division of Driver Licensing website, where you will find several links to more information regarding traffic violations in Kentucky.

It is unclear just how long DUI or DWI convictions remain on the Kentucky drivers' record; though most states keep such things on the record for ten years or more.

According to the Kentucky Driver's Manual, traffic violation points stay on a driver's record for two years from the date of conviction.  The actual conviction stays on the record for five years (ten years for CDL).
