What are Arkansas Lemon Laws?

Answer:
If you are planning a move to Arkansas, you might need
to know about the Arkansas Lemon Laws.  Arkansas Lemon Laws protect consumers against new motor vehicle non-conformity to manufacturers’ express warranties, and they provide a means of recourse against motor vehicle manufacturers if a motor vehicle has been proven to be out of compliance with the manufacturer’s express warranties, and if the motor vehicle also meets certain other eligibility requirements.

Arkansas Lemon Laws are spelled out in the Arkansas Code as follows:
Arkansas Title 4, Chapter 90, Sections 401-417
Arkansas New Motor Vehicle Quality Assurance Act

Owners must make reasonable attempts (typically 3 attempts considered 'reasonable') to bring into conformity any vehicle claimed to be not in conformity.  Owners typically must file an official complaint with the vehicle manufacturer through registered U.S. Mail; owners must have already allowed reasonable attempts to be made to correct alleged non-conformities; manufacturers may be allowed a final attempt before any refund must be made.

Arkansas Lemon Laws do not specify any coverage for used vehicle purchases.
