What are the Connecticut Lemon Laws?

Answer:
Planning to purchase a motor vehicle in Connecticut?
Connecticut Lemon Laws protect consumers against new and used motor vehicle non-conformity to manufacturers’ or dealers' express warranties.

Connecticut Lemon Laws are spelled out in the Connecticut Code as follows:
New Car - Title 42, Chapter 743b
Used Car - Title 42, Chapter 743f
Connecticut Lemon Law

Not too many states have separate Lemon Laws for new and used vehicles, but Connecticut does. If a motor vehicle has been proven to be out of compliance with the manufacturer’s or dealer's express warranties, and if the motor vehicle also meets certain other eligibility requirements, purchasers have recourse.

Reasonable attempts must be made to allow manufacturers or dealers bring any vehicle claimed to be not in conformity by the owner into conformity by the manufacturer or seller.  Owners must file an official complaint, as detailed in the Law.  Owners typically must have already allowed reasonable attempts to be made to correct alleged non-conformities.
