What are the Alaska Lemon Laws?

Answer:
It might be cold in Alaska, but they still have
Lemon Laws, which protect consumers against new motor vehicle non-conformity to manufacturers’ express warranties. Alaska Lemon Laws provide a means of recourse against motor vehicle manufacturers if a motor vehicle has been proven to be out of compliance, and if it also meets certain other eligibility requirements.

Alaska Lemon Laws
are spelled out in the Alaska Code as follows:
AS 45.45.300
Alaska (AK) Lemon Law Statutes
Title 45, Chapter 45, Sections 300 - 360
Alaska Motor Vehicle Warranties Act

Owners must allow for a number of reasonable attempts to be made to bring into conformity any vehicle claimed to be not in conformity.

Owners must file an official complaint with the vehicle manufacturer through registered U.S. Mail, and owners must have  allowed reasonable attempts to be made to correct alleged non-conformities. Manufacturers may be allowed a final attempt before any money must be refunded.

Alaska Lemon Laws do not specify any coverage for used vehicle purchases.
