What are the Kansas Lemon Laws?

Answer:
The  Kansas Lemon Laws protect consumers
against new motor vehicle non-conformity to manufacturers’ express warranties (some restrictions apply). Kansas Lemon Laws provide methods of recourse and retribution in cases where the manufacturer is unable to bring a new vehicle into compliance through repeated attempts.

Any alleged vehicle non-compliance must be reported by the consumer during the manufacturer's warranty period or within one year, whichever is earliest.  If a vehicle cannot be made compliant to manufacturer's express warranties, the manufacturer must replace the vehicle with another of comparable value, or accept the non-compliant vehicle return from the consumer and provide a refund of the full purchase price less reasonable pro-rated usage charges.

Of course, Kansas Lemon Laws also remind consumers that if a complaint of non-compliance is actually due to negligence, abuse or modifications by the consumer, all bets are off.
