What are the Mississippi Lemon Laws?

Answer:
If you are contemplating a move to Mississippi, you
might want to know a thing or two about the Mississippi Lemon Laws.

Mississippi Lemon Laws protect consumers against damages resulting from new motor vehicles being non-compliant with manufacturer's express warranties.

Described as:
Mississippi Lemon Law
Motor Vehicle Warranty Enforcement Act
Sections 63-17-151 through 63-17-165

Mississippi Lemon Laws require consumers to lodge official complaints of alleged non-compliance within the manufacturer's express warranty period or one year, whichever is earliest.

Consumers must allow manufacturers to make a reasonable number of attempts at repairing vehicle non-conformities before the manufacturer must replace the vehicle or refund the purchase price (less usage charge).

The Mississippi Lemon Laws do not cover purchases of used vehicles, although other consumer protection statutes may.  Many states have statutes intended to protect against willful sale or transfer of known unsafe or damaged goods, including used motor vehicles.
