What are the New Jersey Lemon Laws?

Answer:
New Jersey Lemon Laws are some of the most complete and comprehensive Lemon Laws
I've seen.  New Jersey Lemon Laws include Statues and Regulations, each with their own important requirements in the overall Lemon Laws.

New Jersey Lemon Laws provide consumer protection against damages resulting from motor vehicle non-conformity to express warranties, including new and used vehicles, under separate Statutes and Regulations.

Described as:
New Vehicles: New Jersey Lemon Law Statutes; Title 56:12-29 - 56:12-49
New Jersey New Car Lemon Law Regulations; New Jersey Administrative Code Title 13:45A-26
Used Vehicles: New Jersey Used Vehicle Lemon Law Statutes; Title 56:8-67 - 56:8-80
New Jersey Used Car Lemon Law Regulations; New Jersey Administrative Code Title 13:45A-26F

Under New Jersey Lemon Laws (Statutes) for new motor vehicles, consumers are required to file any claims of vehicle non-conformity to manufacturer's express warranties within 18,000 miles, or two years of purchase.  If repairs for non-conformity are made after 12 months or 12,000 miles, such repairs must be paid for by consumers, unless covered by other warranty.

Under New Jersey Lemon Laws (Regulations) for new motor vehicles, manufacturers must inform new motor vehicle buyers of their rights under the Lemon Laws for replacement or refund if the vehicle is found to be non-conforming to express warranties.

Under New Jersey Lemon Laws (Statutes) for used motor vehicles, dealers must provide vehicle warranties on all vehicles except:
o Vehicles with over 100,000 miles
o Vehicles with over 60,000 miles, providing consumer agrees to waive the warranty in writing.
o Vehicles declared total loss by insurance company and consumer notified in writing of that.
o Vehicles older than eight years.
o Vehicles costing under $3000.

Under New Jersey Lemon Laws (Regulations) for used motor vehicles, consumers must follow similar procedures to those of new vehicles, in that official notification be made and a reasonable number of attempts to repair must be allowed before the dealer must refund purchase monies.
