What are the Ohio Lemon Laws?

Answer:
Ohio Lemon Laws are in place to provide protection
to consumers against damages resulting from new vehicle non-confirmity to manufacturer's express warranties.

Described as:
Ohio Lemon Law Statutes
Sections 1345.71 to 1345.78 of the Revised Code

Under Ohio Lemon Laws, consumers are required to lodge official complaints of vehicle non-conformity within the first 18,000 miles or one year, whichever comes earliest.

Consumers must also allow for a reasonable number of attempts to repair non-conformities to be made before manufacturer's are required to replace the vehicle or refund money to consumers.

Ohio Lemon Laws specify that the following conditions may qualify as meeting the intent of "reasonable number of attempts" to repair:
o There has been at least one attempt to repair a non-conformity condition which is likely to cause serious injury or death if the vehicle is operated.
o There have been eight or more attempts to correct any non-conformity.
o The vehicle is out of service for repair attempts for a cumulative total of 30 days or more.
o The same non-conformity continues to exist after three or more attempts to repair it.
