Answer:
The South Carolina Lemon Laws protect consumers Described as: South Carolina (SC) Lemon Law Statutes Title 56, Chapter 28 Under the South Carolina Lemon Laws, consumers are required to file official complaints of new vehicle non-conformity within 12 months or 12,000 miles, whichever occurs first. Manufacturers must be allowed a reasonable number of attempts to repair non-conformities before they must replace the vehicle or refund purchase money to consumers. Consumers must also first use established manufacturer's informal dispute resolution procedures before protection under the South Carolina Lemon Laws may be sought. If, during the express warranty period or one year, the same non-conformity has been repaired (or attempted) three or more times by the manufacturer or authorized agent, or if the non-conforming vehicle has been out of service for 30 days or more, the intent of "reasonable number of attempts" to repair is deemed to be met under South Carolina Lemon Laws.
