What are the Vermont Lemon Laws?

Answer:
Vermont, the "green mountain state",
has Lemon Laws intended to protect consumers against damages resulting from new motor vehicles not conforming to the manufacturer's express warranties.

Described as:
Vermont (VT) Lemon Law Statue
Chapter 115, Sections 4170 - 4181

Under Vermont Lemon Laws, consumers must make official notification of new vehicle non-conformity within the express warranty period.

As with most State Lemon Laws, Vermont Lemon Laws require consumers to allow a reasonable number of attempts to repair non-conformities to be made before manufacturers must replace the vehicle or refund purchase funds.

If, during the term of a new vehicle manufacturer's express warranty period, a non-conformity persists and three or more repairs (or attempts) have been made on it, or if a vehicle is out of service for 30 days or more, the intent of "reasonable number of attempts to repair" will be deemed as being met under the Vermont Lemon Laws.
