Described as:
Washington (WA) Lemon Law Statues
Title 19 Chapter 118 RCW - MOTOR VEHICLE WARRANTIES

Under Washington Lemon Laws, new vehicle purchases must include a written statement explaining consumers' rights under the Lemon Laws

The statement must contain a toll-free telephone number the consumer can use to learn information about processes and procedures to follow in Lemon Law claim cases.

Consumers must file official complaint of any new vehicle non-conformity within the periods covered by applicable warranties, and must allow a reasonable number of attempts to repair to be made before manufacturers must replace the vehicle or refund purchase monies.

Washington Lemon Laws allow for the intent of "reasonable number of attempts to repair" to be met by: a) The same serious non-conformity being repaired (or attempted) two or more times; the non-conforming vehicle was out of service for a cumulative total of 30 days or more; or the same non-conformity being repaired four or more times; these being within time constraints relating to warranty terms and periods.
