What are the Wyoming State Driving Laws?

Answer:
When driving in Wyoming, always follow the posted
speed limit. Interstates have a 75 mph speed limit. Secondary highways have a 65 mph speed limit. Residential and business areas have a 30 mph speed limit, and in school zones you must travel 20 mph. There is no cell phone law in Wyoming.

Always yield the right of way to emergency vehicles. In addition to giving them the right of way, if they are signaling and emergency you must pull over to the right hand side of the road and stop until they have passed. Always look for other emergency vehicles because they often come in groups.

Anyone in a vehicle in Wyoming must wear a seatbelt. Also, children under the age of eight must be in a child safety seat. Failure to follow this law results in a $25 fine for the driver and a $10 fine for the passengers. Anyone under the age of 19 must wear a helmet when on a motorcycle.
