How can I renew my Alaska Drivers License?

Answer:
When you are issued a driver’s license in the
state of Alaska, it will likely be good for five years. The expiration date will be your birthday.

You can renew our license any time after your birthday in the year before it is going to expire. However, if you keep the license past the expiration date it will be an expired license.

To renew, visit the DMV office in your area to do the following things:

· Surrender your current license

· Take a vision test

· Have a new photo taken

· Pay $20 renewal fee

Once you have completed these requirements, you will be issued a new license that is good for another five years.
