When you are issued a driver’s license in the
state of Arizona, it is good until you turn 65.

While it does not expire until you reach that age, you are required to update your photo every 12 years.

When your license does expire, you will need to visit your driver’s license office in person to renew.

When you arrive, you will complete a new application, take a vision test, and have a new photo taken. Some Arizona drivers have licenses that say they expire on the driver’s 60th birthday.

Since the law has changed, these licenses do not expire until the driver’s 65th birthday, in spite of the date. A new license with the correct expiration date can be obtained from the DMV if needed.
