How can I renew my Georgia Drivers License?

Answer:
When your driver’s license expires in the state

of Georgia, you have four options to use when renewing it.

You can renew by phone, in the mail, on the internet, or in person. The renewal application will be sent to the address on your driver’s license, and this cannot be forwarded.

This application will contain an identification number that you must use if renewing online or by phone.

· Renewing online: Visit https://services.georgia.gov/dmvs/splash.jsp and fill in the form. You must pay the renewal fee via credit card.

· Renewing by phone: Call (678) 413-8400 or (866) 754-3687. You will have to pay the renewal fee via credit card.

· Renewing by mail: Follow the instructions on the renewal application you received in the mail.

Anyone who is over 64 must apply in person in order to take a vision test. Also, any time you need to make a change to your license, it will have to be done in person.

If you are renewing for five years, you will pay $20. If you are renewing for ten years, you will pay $35.
