How can I renew my Kentucky Drivers License?

Answer:
If you are under the age of 21 in Kentucky,
your driver’s license will expire 90 days after your 21st birthday. If you are over 21 you will have a license that is good for four years, so your license will expire 31 days after your birthday, but only every four years.

You can renew up to six months before the expiration date if you are over 21.

When your license expires you will be sent a notice in the mail at the address you have on file with the Circuit Court Clerk and the Division of Driver Licensing.

You must renew in person at the Circuit Court Clerk’s office in your area. Those who are in the military have the option of renewing by mail. The fee is $20 to renew your license. The only thing you need to bring with you when you renew is your current license.
