How can I renew my Maine Drivers License?

Answer:
Your Maine driver’s license will expire

every five years, and you will be given a notice a month or more before your license expires. The fee for renewal is $30. Most people are able to renew online, and this fact will be indicated on your renewal notice. To do so, you will need to do the following:

· Visit http://www.informe.org/bmv/dlr/

· Have you Social Security number and a credit card handy

· Follow the instructions

· Print the temporary license

You will be given a printed 60-day temporary license when you renew online. Your real license will arrive in two or three weeks through the mail. I

f you are not eligible to renew online, you will have to do so in person at the BMV office in your area. This requires you to bring your renewal notice and your old license with you. You will leave with your new license, rather than needing to wait for it to arrive by mail, when you apply in person.
