How can I renew my Washington Drivers License?

Answer:
Your Washington driver’s license will
be good for a five-year timeframe. You can renew in person at the licensing service office in your area up to 90 days before the expiration date.

You can also renew up to 60 days after the expiration, but you will pay a $10 late fee. The renewal fee is $25. You will be asked to take a vision test when renewing your license.

Some drivers are able to renew online. The renewal notice will indicate if this is possible for you or not.

If you are able to renew online, visit https://fortress.wa.gov/dol/olr/ and follow the instructions. You will have to pay the $25 fee with a credit card. Good drivers can renew online every other time they renew.
