How do I get a Motorcycle License?

Answer:
You must first enroll in a state-approved motorcycle riding course.

Once you have started the course, you may apply for a motorcycle instruction permit. You will be required to pass a knowledge test, signs test, and vision exam.

While riding under your instruction permit, you are required to wear eye protection and an approved helmet. In most states, learners can only ride alone during daylight hours. Permits are generally good for six months and can be renewed at least once. After competing the training course, you may schedule a riding skills test with your local DMV. The DMV will issue your motorcycle license after you pass the test.
