How do I transfer a car title in-state and out-of-state in Nebraska?

Answer:
New residents must register their out-of-state vehicles
in their county of residence within 30 days of establishing residency.

To obtain a Nebraska title, they need a completed Registration Application of the Nebraska Certificate of Title; proof of insurance; proof of vehicle ownership (the Manufacturer’s Statement of Origin or a properly assigned certificate of title); a vehicle inspection; identification; and proof of payment of sales tax.

Title transfers for in-state vehicles require an odometer disclosure statement; a notarized bill of sale; a properly endorsed title from the seller; and a completed and signed Application for Certificate of Title.
