How do I transfer a car title in-state and out-of-state in Oklahoma?

Answer:
Vehicle registrations are managed by the Oklahoma Tax Commission
through tag agencies located throughout the state. All new registrations require a completed Application for Certificate of Title.

Title transfers must be executed in person at a tag agency within 30 days of a private purchase. Requirements include the properly assigned title from the seller; a Declaration of Vehicle Purchase Price or bill of sale; and an Odometer Disclosure Statement. An optional Notice of Transfer of Ownership form is also available.
