If I Moved do I need to Notify the DMV of my New Address?

Any time you change your address you will need

to inform the DMV of your new residency if you have a driver’s license. All state DMV offices have a time frame in which you must report your change of address.

For instance, in California you must notify the DMV of the change within 10 days of your move. Many states will not change the address on your license, but it will be changed in their computers. To change your address, visit the DMV office near your home with proof of your new address, such as a current utility bill.
