What are Emissions?

Answer:
Gases and particles that enter the air when
fuel is burned are called emissions.
Emissions created by cars as a result of burning gasoline are one of the causes of both poor air quality and global warming.

In densely populated areas emissions are of great concern because of the large number of cars on the road. In these areas emissions testing is required before cars can be registered. Cars that have too high of an emissions score have to be repaired. Some states, such as California, require emissions testing for all vehicles, even those in less densely populated areas. Carbon dioxide is the most common gas found in car emissions.
