What are the California Drivers License Requirements?

Answer:
California driver’s licenses or only issued
to applicants who have completed three tests, which are as follows:

·    Vision test
·    Traffic laws and signs written test
·    Driving test

The fee for getting a license in California is $27. If you have to retake the driving test, you will pay an additional $5.

California has strict requirements for young drivers. All young drivers must complete a driver education program. Also, they must hold a learner’s permit for at least six months. While holding a learner’s permit, drivers who are under 17 ½ years of age must complete six hours of on the road training with a licensed instructor, along with 50 hours behind the wheel with the parent or guardian supervising. Of those 56 total hours, 10 of them have to be at night.

After completing these requirements, the driver can get a restricted license. A full license is not available until the driver turns 18. When applying for your permit or license, you will need your social security card, a birth certificate, and a filled in DL 44 form, which is only available at the DMV.
