What are the Connecticut Drivers License Requirements?

Connecticut drivers must pass three tests

before earning their licenses. These are as follows:

· Written test

· Vision test

· Driving test

The fee for a license ranges between $66 and $77, depending on your age, and this must be paid by cash or check.

Teen drivers will start by earning a learner’s permit. The learner’s permit must be held for 180 days. During that time you must pass a state-certified driver education class.

Once you have finished the course, you will apply for your driver’s license exam. There is a $40 fee for this. You must bring your learner’s permit, certificate from the driving education course, address verification, three forms of ID (including Social Security card and birth certificate), parent (to grant approval), and the license fee.

If you are over 18 you do not have to have a learner’s permit or take a driver education course in order to apply for the license.
