What are the Iowa Drivers License Requirements?

Answer:
There are three tests required in
order to receive an Iowa driver’s license. These are as follows:

· Vision test

· Written exam

· Driving exam

The cost for a license in Iowa is $20. Teen drivers in Iowa can get a learner’s permit as soon as they are 14. They must hold the permit for six months before applying for a driver’s license, which is available at 16.

Also, all teen drivers must complete a driver’s education program, which includes six hours of driving training, three of which can be in simulators.

Teens must also complete 20 hours of driving, with 2 of those hours being after dark, outside of the class requirements. The license available at age 16 does have some restrictions. A full license is available at 17.

Anyone under the age of 18 who is applying for a license must have parental consent. Proof of residency, proof of identity, and a Social Security card are all required when applying for an Iowa license.
