Montana requires its drivers to pass three tests · Vision screening · Written exam · Driving test The fee for a five-year driver’s license is $23.75. All applicants must bring certain documents with them when applying for a driver’s license. They will need to prove their date of birth and full name. The original documents are required. No photocopies will be accepted. A Social Security number or I-94 document is also required. Teen drivers begin with a learner’s permit, which allow them to take driver’s education. All applicants for a driver’s license must complete an approved driver’s education course or be able to present a signed certificate show that they have completed 50 hours of supervised driving time.
