What are the Oklahoma Vehicle Registration and Title Requirements?

To title and register a vehicle in Oklahoma,

you will need to bring the following documents to your tag agent’s office:

· Assigned an notarized title or Manufacturer’s Certificate of Origin

· Proof of insurance

· Lien release, if applicable

· Odometer disclosure statement

· Application for title and registration

· Bill of sale or purchase agreement

You will have to pay an $11 fee for the title. You will also have to pay a $91 tag fee, or registration fee, for the vehicle.

You must apply for a title and register the vehicle within 30 days of purchase, or you will pay a late fee. You also will be required to an excise tax for the vehicle, which is a percentage of the purchase price of the vehicle.

However, if you purchased the vehicle for far less than it was worth, you will pay the excise tax based on the value of the vehicle.
