What are the Oregon Vehicle Registration and Title Requirements?

To title and register a vehicle in the state of Oregon,

you will need to provide the following documents to the DMV:

· Application for Replacement Title for used vehicles

· Application for Title and Registration

· Release of interest from seller

· Bill of sale or lien release

· Proof of insurance

· Odometer reading, if required

· Manufacturer’s Certificate of Origin for new vehicles

The title fee in Oregon is $55. A two-year registration costs $54. You can also purchase a four-year registration for $108.

Vehicles that are being registered in Portland or Medford must have emissions testing through a Department of Environmental Quality inspection. You will also have to pay any applicable sales taxes when you register the vehicle.
