What are the South Dakota Drivers License Requirements? |
|
Answer:
South Dakota gives three tests to all new drivers, · Vision test · Written test · Driving test The fee for a South Dakota driver’s license is $8. Those who are applying for their first South Dakota driver’s licenses must bring a birth certificate or other form of acceptable ID with them when they apply. Also they will need to disclose their Social Security numbers. Teens must begin the process by applying for their instruction permit, which requires permission from their parents. They must hold the permit for 180 days, unless they complete driver’s education. In that case they only must hold the permit for 90 days. The permit is available at age 14. Those who are not yet 16 but have held the permit for the required length of time and have passed the driving test can apply for a restricted minor’s permit. This allows them to drive alone during the day. The restricted minor’s permit can be converted into a driver’s license at age 16. Trackback(0)
