There are three standard tests required by the State · Vision test · Written test · Driving test The cost for a Texas driver’s license is $24, with a $10 fee for the driving test. Applicants must bring proof of identity, Social Security number, and insurance when they apply. Teens can begin the driver’s licensing process at age 15, when they can apply for a learner’s permit. Teens must also show a Verification of Attendance and Enrollment in School in order to apply for a permit. They must complete driver’s education and hold the permit for six months before applying for the next stage, the provisional license. After holding the provisional license for six months, it automatically changes into a full license. The provisional license is only available for those who are 16 or older. Applicants who are over 18 do not have to go through the graduated licensing program, but can begin by applying for a permit and then a full license. Trackback(0)
