What are the Wyoming Vehicle Registration and Title Requirements?

Answer:
If you purchase a vehicle in the state of Wyoming,
you must title and register it within 30 days if purchased from an individual, and 45 days if purchased from a dealer. This requires that you bring the following documents to the county clerk’s office:

· Manufacturer’s Statement of Origin (for new vehicles)

· Old title, notarized and signed (used vehicles)

· Odometer reading

· Bill of sale, notarized and signed

· Application for Title form

· Statement of damage disclosure

· Proof of insurance

The fee for the title is usually $9, but can vary by county. You will also pay a fee that is based on the cost of the vehicle plus a $15 state fee in order to register the vehicle.

If you did not pay sales tax when you purchased the vehicle, you will pay it when you register.
