If you are relocating to Louisiana, you will need to

know some things about motor vehicle inspection requirements in that state.

The state of Louisiana requires periodic motor vehicle inspections, based on geographic location within the state.

For example, residents with vehicles registered in New Orleans, Kenner, or Westwego, Louisiana, cannot have their passenger vehicles inspected at state inspection centers. Instead, those residents are instructed to contact their respective City Governments to learn their specific requirements.

Residents of some other Louisiana Parishes must have their vehicles inspected in the Parish where the vehicle is registered.
