Where can I find Maine Vehicle Inspection Centers?

Answer:
If you plan to move to Maine, you will need to know
about motor vehicle inspection requirements in that state.

Maine requires annual motor vehicle safety inspections, but does not require periodic vehicle emisssions testing, except in Cumberland County.

Motor vehicle safety inspections in Maine are officially administered by the Maine State Police.  However, actual inspections are carried out at a number of qualified garages and service stations across the state.

In Cumberland County, emissions tests are also carried out by qualified garages and service stations in that area of the state.
