Where can I get a California Driving Record?

Answer:
You can request your own California driving record
in person at the DMV office in your area. To do so, you will need to fill in the Request for Your Own Driver License Record, which is found at this link: http://www.dmv.ca.gov/forms/inf/inf1125.pdf . You will also need your identification and $5 to pay the fee. You make the request through the mail as well. Simply submit the form and the $5 fee to:

            Department of Motor Vehicles

            Office of Information Services

            Public Operations Unit G199

            P. O. Box 944247

            Sacramento, CA 94244

If you need a California driving record of someone other than yourself, you will need to fill in form INF 70D, which is found here: http://www.dmv.ca.gov/forms/inf/inf70.htm . The DMV will review your request, and if they feel you have a valid reason for needing the driving record, they will send it to you with the individual’s personal information removed. The individual will be notified that you obtained a copy of their record.
