Where can I get a Louisiana Driving Record?

Answer:
You can request a copy of your Louisiana driving record
online, in person, or through the mail. If you need someone else’s record, you will need to obtain written authorization from that individual.

To make the request online, visit http://omv.dps.state.la.us/odr/odr.asp . You will need to enter information found on your driver’s license.

You will also want to enter the address where you wish to have the record mailed, even if it is different than the address on your license. The cost to access the record online is $17.

To request your record through the mail, you will need to send a written request to:

Office of Motor Vehicles
Attention: ODR
P.O. Box 64886
Baton Rouge, LA 70896

Be sure that the request contains the following information:

· Full name

· Driver’s license number

· Birthday

· Gender

· Address

You can also make the request in person at the OMV location in Alexandria, Baton Rouge, Lake Charles, Monroe, or Shreveport. Whether you request in person or through the mail, you will pay $15 for the record.
