Where can I get a Massachusetts Driving Record?

Answer:
You can order a copy of your own Massachusetts driving record

in person, over the phone, or through the mail.

There are two numbers you can call to request over the phone, depending on what your area code is. Those who are in 339, 617, 781, or 857 area codes or are calling from out of state need to call 617-351-4500.

Anyone else will call 1-800-858-3926. The call center is open on weekdays from 9 until 5. You will need to pay the $15 fee via credit card.

To order by mail, you can send a check or money order made out to the Registry of Motor Vehicles along with a request for the driving record to:

Be sure to include your driver’s license number, birthday, and full name in the request. Also, indicate where you would like to have the record sent.

The third option is to order the copy in person. To do this, visit the RMV office in your area. You can pay by cash, money order, or check when ordering in person.
