Where can I get a Virginia Driving Record?

Answer:
You can access a copy of your Virginia driving record
online, in person, or through the mail. To obtain a copy online, visit https://www.dmv.virginia.gov/dmvnet/common/pin_option_ques.asp .

Follow the instructions to receive your record. You can request a non-certified record for $8 or a certified copy for $13.

To apply by mail, send a written request to the DMV. You will need to include the following in the request:

· Full legal name

· Current address

· Social Security number

· Reason you need record

Mail the request with a check or money order for the fee to:

Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles
Attn: Driver Records Work Center
P.O. Box 27412
Richmond, VA 23269

You can also make the request in person at a DMV customer service center. Be sure to have your driver’s license with you when requesting in person. Only those with a valid reason can request someone else’s driving record.
