Where can I get an Idaho Driving Record?

Answer:
To request a copy of a driving record in Idaho,
you must make the request it in writing. You will need the driver’s license number of the individual whose record you are requesting. If this is not available, you can use the individual’s Social Security number. Also, you will need the name and date of birth of the individual.

A non-certified copy costs $4, and a certified copy costs $8. Make checks or money orders payable to the State of Idaho.

You can either submit the request in person at the DMV location in your area, or you can mail it to:

Vehicle Services/Special Plates
Idaho Transportation Department
P.O. Box 34
Boise, ID 83731

You are only allowed to request records for someone other than yourself if you have a legal reason to do so. These legal reasons could include business reasons, driver safety reasons, government reasons, or court reasons. You will have to explain in detail why you need the record before it will be given to you.
