of custom-style cruisers. Styling features such as exposed rear shocks, ape-hanger handlebars, bobtail fenders, and chromed lace wheels recall the chopper bikes of decades ago.

The Wide Glide is powered by Harley’s Twin Cam 96 CID air-colored engine with electronic sequential port fuel injection, hooked to the company’s six-speed Cruise Drive transmission. Riders can expect quarter mile times in the high 13s and a top speed of about 95 mph. For the 2008 model year, the Wide Glide is available only in special 105th Anniversary copper-and-black trim. A vehicle security system is the only factory option on this well-equipped cruiser, which retails for $17,620.
